To renew or not to renew - that's the question?!

Hi Everyone,

     I don't like being mean or rough on something but sometimes you don't have a choice to speak up a little bit, and use your voice when something's not fair!

     Like everytime, on television, it's time to a show to get to its season's finale. It's also time to decide whether a TV series will keep going for another round or if the Channel will decide to cancel it. «Almost Human» is close to its finale and i was (for once) curious to know when the 2nd season will be aired (the show is so good, can't wait!). What a shock for me to discover that this amazing new TV series may not survive - according to some out there?! 

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?!!?

     I know that those famous Readings (how many people followed a show at each scheduling on its channel) are a big thing for the different Channels, and especially for their bank account! I'm not a dummy ... but this time, i must say out loud how this is a stupid idea to take decisions based essentially on Readings.

     These past few months, probably more than ever before, the small screen has never offered us such a huge variety of shows for absolutely everyone! Which, somehow is great, especially if their quality is amazing but it could be also stupid and very stricky for many reasons such as: 

 - too many things to watch at the same time / 

 - having a recording device has its limits cause it can tape usually two shows programmed at the same timetable / 

 - unless you have three heads, three recorders and three TVs, and the only thing you do 24/7 is to watch everything aired .... you simply cannot have a life (or if you hibernate, that might do the trick!)

     People made their choice based on what to watch between the millions of shows offered. At some point, you really wonder if the Channels realize that obviously a bunch of these shows will never grow old ... because they can't get the attention (and the love) they need to become a hit. They create on purpose shows that are intended for dying ... tragically. To have a look at what's going on, what's new, keep following the good old ones, the good new ones ... it's just IMPOSSIBLE! So, thanks for making it so hard for us and to wash your hands of it!

You're going to say: that's Show Business, baby!!!  

     Well, let me set the record straight. I get that everything is just about the money at the end of the day! But do you think it's possible not to create and scheduled on your channel a show (or a genre of show) that frankly you don't usually support because it's Sci Fi, Original and/or Smart. 

I know that i'm speaking for myself (and yet, i know i'm not the only one!) but can we have, for once, something else than the eternal usual «S.C.I.» / «Law and Order» etc and let's not forgetting the vampires stuff that we have to bear over and over for too long now. Having a variety it's good, loving these shows it's fine (if you don't mind watching what is already happening around you everyday! ... except the vampires stuff!!) but what about the other shows? What about the ones that are a bit different (or completely)? It appears that if it's not a comedy ... the show has a pretty good chance of dying pretty much right away. Like i said before, there's right now too many good TV series on air the same day, at the same time ... what do you want beside a war? Do you know that inevitably there's gonna be some dead?!

     Quite frankly, we have to bear all the vampire things (i'm sorry to say but the best example is «Vampire Diaries») which offers a story as interesting as a girl who loves the vampire, who wants to save him from himself, who doesn't care of what he is, who finally will become just like him, and then oh! ... what an excitement change, another vampire's coming in, jealousy happened ... blablabla ... That kind of whatsoever story and TV series finds its place and stays on thanks to teenagers!?! How many shows do we have on TV about doctors, firefighters, lawyers, cops, special units etc ... how many more do you want?! Same thing here but thanks to the parents!!

      As i already raved about it, «Almost Human» is incredible! An original story line, takes place in a not so far future (so, some Sci Fi stuff going on, yeah!!!), amazing and talented actors, excellent sense of humour on an unexpected way and some good dark mysteries to keep us glued onto our small screen each week! What else can we need?!

     Some may think (and say) that it's too long before having answers about the secret terrorist attack on John Kennex at the beginning of the 1st episode. That we have to wait too long to go back to it and keep growing the mystery. That this nearby future seems to be too complicated (or complex to get) not enough info to understand how do they live. That we get a dark and mysterious episode and then the next ones are quite simple before having another dark one, and so on ... Some people don't get apparently the character of John Kennex, his behaviour or they don't get the sense of humour he got (seriously?!).

     To satisfy those people, does the story must be easy going? the mystery solved quickly? the way of living in this future exactly the same as today? so, the show'll becoming another simple, usual and regular insipid one, season after season, until the writers find a way to make it thrilling again but just for a while?! Is this how it's supposed to happen according to you?! For once that a TV series is intriguing, different, original, creative, using Sci Fi and an excellent humour... Juste because the angle of the story line is different, people don't get it and the channel wants to kill it because it's not making enough money! Boohoo!! What a pitty and shame on you!

We definitely don't have the same perspective on what is exciting and worthy on television.

     I'm still kind of surprised that shows like «Once Upon a Time» / «Revenge» / «Under the Dome» / «Lost» / «Haven» / «Fringe» survived! Don't get me wrong here, because i'm watching these ones (or did, for the older ones) but they're some kind of smart, elaborated, different, original TV series which requires to have a brain to appreciate it, to understand. Because you have to think about what you saw. It's not just only watching like a cow's watching the train go by! 

I'm also glad and frankly amazed that «Under the Dome» will have a 2nd season because this is a really weird one (but a good one!). Some may not even know the last two shows, maybe because they have (and had when it's about «Fringe») the chance to be aired on Channels that are willing to give birth to something different and will do what it takes to help them grow. Just like HBO does for instance!

     Bottom line, it is possible to find some really great, amazing, elaborated and strong TV series on the small screen. The problem is that the big Channels such as FOX / CBS / NBC  or ABC are not willing to become like the other ones, taking risks and do a little bit of life support. They shouldn't come up with something that gives them itchiness. If you're not ready to see the value and the quality without the Readings, play fair and let the show have a life on another channel. Because don't forget that behind a TV series (or a show), there is a cast and a crew who's working passionately on it and giving a 100 % of themselves. It matters to them and it matters to some of us!

I'm sorry for mumbling like a cat on a freezy day but it had to be said!

     I know that i'm noone, a nobody on the planet but i wanna believe that the drop that i am in this vast ocean, may be the one who will make it overflow somehow for good. So, please, let «Almost Human» keep growing on television with another season. Let it keep shining from its creativity, keep thrilling from its mysterious future, keep us laughing, all together to get our little grey cells a chance of excitement as a squirrel on Fall! Thanks.

There's a Reason for Everything!

      For the last 2 weeks, i started seriously thinking about what's the difference between «staying quiet» - «doing nothing» - «taking some time apart» - «keeping silent» and «champing at the bit». 

I finally got my answer: there's a reason for everything!

     You may have noticed that for the same periode of time, there's not much things posted on my Blog and no video on Youtube. The desire of filming make-up tutorials and few products reviews is here, i even planned a video with the 2013 Beauty Discoveries and another one on the 2013 Skincare Discoveries, unfortunately germs are kind of seriously crashing the party! 

     If it's not for having a close relationship with my bed thanks of a huge lack of energy, i transformed myself as an Orc thanks at a quick cold and a non-stop sneezing and obviously, blowing my nose all the time. I'm sure, you can imagine how i felt but i decided to stay positive. A cold never last more than 6 days usually, right ?!, so i waited patiently and it did, i have my Elf's face back again!  Yeah ... finally i can go back on a certain routine but the tiredness or the need to hibernate kept taking control of me, so ... nothing happened. The willingness is here! Ok, so another week went away. 

     Then, few days ago, a new development, i started to sound like an Orc! (i don't know if there's a secret message hiding behind all of this Orc thing?!?) As a positive person, i decided to shoot anyway, thinking it'll be somehow funny and memorable to watch. That was saturday but on sunday, everything changed... again! Changed how you gonna say? Is it possible to get worst? 3 times: YES!!!

     I got a serious Laryngitis, the kind that forbid you to have contacts with any human beings for a week (highly contagious), plus ... because it's not enough, if i want my vocal cord to get well again, i must have a close relationship with my bed, sleep, sleep, sleep. Anyway, i must rest as much as possible and above all: STAY SILENT! Right now, they're on mute, i can't speak anymore.

     Do you have any idea how difficult it is! Texting is nice but talking so much easier and faster. Writing is funny but after 5 min. boring. Talking out loud for myself (like everyone's doing ... i hope so?!) ... so forbidden too!!! Now, i'm an almost mute Elf. You have to admit that filming anything understandable became impossible for the moment.

      But i can hear some of you saying that's the videos part, what about the Blog itself?! You're right, i can't deny the non-productivity in this department. Beside the tiredness, the sleeping and working (because i have a job!) - i kind of have some difficulties to plan effectively a week of work in so many directions, to share equaly my time left in a day. Working on some blogs  requires  a lot of time, especially on movie reviews because it's not gonna be watched by itself my friends!! Ok, you probably gonna say that i'm a bit lazy, that i can do better. I did it until now, what's different?!

     Well remember in past January, we talked about the 2014 Resolutions List ... and the importance of taking one step at a time instead of going crazy everywhere at once and finally nowhere?!?! Well, i do what i preach (sometimes!). I decided to put this unexpected «in between» Orc time, in finishing my first novel, an exciting thriller which needs all my grey cells (because it's tricky to write a thriller!). For me, it's not only a resolution, it's to make a dream come true and nothing's more important than dreams!!

     So, what about this thinking process mentioned at the beginning? 

For you, my dear friends that i don't know yet (except few of you!), it looks like i'm doing nothing but for me, my grey cells and my little fingers are working crazy hard!! There's just gonna be a bit (or maybe more than just a bit) less of blog posts. For the videos, as soon as i get my Elf's voice back ... well i'll be back! So, i may give you more of PPJ (kind of easier for me) and for the next month and a half, i'll try to find more positive things to say about this endless winter! ;)

    After saying all that, you'll understand better now why i mentioned previously the famous proverb - There's a reason for everything - this unexpected Orcky phase happened to put me back on track with my novel: time to make it happen, baby!

So, don't go too far and thanks for following no matter what!!

Hi Everyone!

     It's been such a long time for me ... a quite long silence these past days, not that it's a first, but this time around i was at the mercy of the evil technology of my computer.

     

     Who like being stopped on what you use to do on your computer because of a possible malware or other bug forcing apparently easily your antivirus - and everytime you gonna wonder why the hell do you have one of the best out there if it's not for preventing that kind of thing ?!?! And i'm not even talking about anything that might happened with Google / Blogger / Internet Explorer related or not ... which will never say specifically tell you what's going on and most of all, what do you have to do to solve the problem. No, that will be too easy, you have to sweat your shirt off before any positive result's coming ... what a shame!

     Do you remember that time, apparently few decades ago, when you could just contact someone (by a simple clic on «contact») - indicating your problem and that mysterious person behind the screen of your computer sent you an answer ... yeah, someone responding to you!!! wouah ... it seems coming from few centuries ago but the truth of the matter is, it's not!

     And yes, i'm aware that nowadays, these companies have to deal with millions of us but guess what?... they still have to deal with human beings, made of flesh and bones, sometimes nice and unfortunately sometimes not, but with the same need: to find an answer to their problem! because they're not experts in this area.

     Now, i know that the new generations are familiar with new technologies as much as a lion is in savannah, but ... hello, not all generations are and not everyone inside. 

     Why am i trying to explain this ... i already did a post few month ago more or less on the same subject - here - it's just unfortunate that time pass but the improvement is not following!!

     So, this being said, hopefully bugs and cie. will stay away from me so i can do some work and have this obvious false idea that i'm an expert when i'm using Google and cie!

Addicted to TV series?!

Hi Everyone !

     What a nice invention the DVD rentals or some providers of movies and TV series like Netflix!!

 

     No need to go crazy each week at watching, almost everyday, some of the «thousands» different TV series ... no more anxiety if you missed one episode! Of course, if you like one of them and you prefer waiting for the DVD season released (or that your entertainer provider offers it), knowing that you'll be completely shift from the actual season on TV ... it's up to you.

 

     From time to time, TV is capable of offering really good, different, creative, compelling and thrilling series.
     Nowadays, it can get more difficult to keep going and still having a life outside your TV's world. It seems that the possibility of falling in love with a new and original  TV serie is getting bigger each year. There's something for everyone.
     Yes, it's nice to watch an episode of a new season each week because it's so good but at some point, you really need to get real and cut off the list of your favorite TV shows. So, you kind of don't have a choice that at some point, you'll go find your entertainement through a more practical way. 

 

That's why the rentals are so convenient!
 

     Always heard good things about a particular TV serie?! Now, you can watch it whenever you want, over and over. Exciting, isn't it!!!

     Except that you can easily and seriously getting addicted on a serie, especially because you have, in your hands, each and every single one episode of a season. It's almost like being all by yourself inside a candy shop!!
     So, if the show that you decide to follow (or discover) has a following thriller story all season long, the only thing you wanna do, is to keep watching episode after episode. Even if it's crazy late at night (or should i say in the middle of the night) and that your eyelids are screaming you to go to bed, you gonna fight like hell to stay awake and push the button «Play» of your remote control. When the end credits are on, there's a feeling clinging on to you, completely out of hand, forcing you to keep watching. Why?! Easy: you wanna know, searching for some answers even if you know that the creators of the serie are gonna bring more questions.
     It's at this precise moment that you can define yourself as being an addict. Of course, if you prefer the TV series like «CSY New York» or «Law & Order», such thing will never happen simply because each episode have a different story (same idea though), so no addiction possible for you (... you're save!!).

     You gonna say that such thing can't happen because you're working, a familly ... it's physically impossible to watch an entire season (usually 5-6 discs) in few days!! Well ... depending or your schedule, mine can be very flexible ... so somehow, it doesn't help with this addiction. That's how i discovered very recently «Pretty Little Liars» and now, i know why everyone on Youtube are talking about it. When everyone or so can be guilty, be the BAD one ... you really wanna keep watching!

     I'm not coming with something new here, talking about rentals or entertaining providers such as Netflix, but i had to say a word to my fellow citizens of the world who might not have used these services yet. It exists, use it! Nothing's more exciting than discovering an entire season, one shot, in few short days instead of waiting 6 months to a year. It's a perfect way to give it a try to a new TV serie. You know sometimes it's the same for the movies: some are worth to be watched on big screen and others can wait the DVD release.

     Now, if you're afraid of starting a new addiction or, if you really don't bother for TV series ... nobody's perfect!! I assume mine and, frankly, there's worst in the world.

     So, if you're from time to time (just like me) or all the time a proud addict of TV series especially thanks to rentals or providers such as Netflix, i wanna know what are your favorites of the moment. There's nothing wrong with it as long as you don't forget that there's a life outside these stories, worth to be living!!
 

The precious - «Behind the Scenes»!

Hi Everyone!

     I don't know for you but when i watch (on rental) or buy a Blu-Ray (or a DVD), it's not only for the excitement of watching an amazing movie, it's for the «Behind the scenes» part as well, hidding inside the «Bonus/Extras» category of the disc.

 

     Usually, while i watch a movie, i don't question myself on the «How do they do that?». I just fill in my brain with the final result = pure pleasure! And then, i cross my fingers, hopping that the director agreed to reveal some tricks, to show how the magic happened. It's possible, sometimes, that there's nothing - it's unfortunate - but when these magic words are on the screen ... it's almost like Christmas in July!!

 

     Be curious and go watch this part of the film as well. First, it's rewarding for every single one crew member who worked passionately on it for weeks or months (don't forget: a movie it's not only the Actors and/or the Directors ... a tone of crewelves made it happened!). Second, it's instructive (you may even find your career).

 

     For instance, the «Behind the scenes» of «Oblivion» are amazing. You'll learn that they built almost everything themselves. The «Bubble Ship» is real ... well, unfortunately it can't fly ... yet but they made it! You'll discover that the stunning landscapes are mostly from Iceland ... yes! You'll see in which conditions they shot these scenes in places where no one goes. Do you think they shot above the clouds for the «Tech 49»?! No ... it was a fantastic and unusual way to do it ...

     «The Great and Wonderful Oz», once again a stunning behind the scenes to discover the magic of this story. «M.I - The Ghost Protocol» is another one to watch even if it's just for the climbing part of the tallest building in the world! Who knew they'd do it for real!! (well, on a secure way of course) and the list can go on and on and on ...

 

In every kind of movies, there's something interesting to learn.

 

     Next time you'll watch a film on Blu-Ray (or DVD), go lost yourself inside those «Behind the scenes» precious moments.

You're kind of afraid not to understand a word because it's always in English? Maybe but your eyes won't miss a bit of it!!!

How is your spirit?!

     It's been a little while now since the time to put some thoughts of our sweet little black sheep on screen, has been over passed. I don't know for you but it can happen to our charming mammal that tones of things are waiting to be told - shown - but the moment doesn't seem to be the right one. Or the desire and the will to go that deep, requires too much energy.

 

     It's not like a day with a weather so sad and borring like this one, no ... it's the beginning of an unfortunate season. When you're part of the sunny and warm one, like you make one with it, it's the complete opposite with the white and cold one.

     Yes, i know, according to any calendar year, there are 4 different seasons. Well ... where i live, only 2 .... if we've got something else, it'll last only few days at max.

     So, knowing that inexorably the very long and depressing one is slowly taken places, plus the fact that our adorable black sheep feels (many others on the planet as well!) the change of energies. The outcomes are not pleasant, quite annoying to process.

 

     The daily light keeps deminishing day after day, the temperatures start to decrease more and more ... the squirrels are everywhere ... but worst of all, it's been now 3 weeks that some impatients are already wearing jackets-trousers-sweaters and boots when it's not requested. Halloween stuff is out and if you look closer, some stores begin to talk about Christmas!!!

 

     Soon the floor will  be cover with leafs, it won't be possible to go out without a jacket, close shoes and scarf. Soon, the stores will put on shelves those ugly but water-resistant boots ... soon, some will leave home in the dark and go back ... still in the dark. Christmas songs will be played all along everywhere, the beautiful decorations will enchanted our minds ...

 

So?! That's a beautiful time of the year, very exciting .... yeah yeah !!

 

     Our little black sheep only sees the next 6 months (as of October) of crap and cold outside. It's probably not a good sign to anticipate the sadness of this period but that's why it's getting more difficult.

     Finding things that might help to stand these next long few months, anything to keep the mind of our poor black sheep intact. It's always the same dream of being capable of flying just like a bird and so leaving behind the cold-grey with too much white place, and spending some rewarding time on a beach, at sea ...

 

     But our black sheep is full of hope and knows, deep down inside, that a day not too far from now, the longest season on the East Coast of Canada will be old memories.

Notre petit Mouton Noir «Mange, Prie, Aime»

Bonjour à tous !

     Que ce soit le livre ou le film (en fait plus souvent le film!), notre charmant petit Mouton Noir aime à se plonger dans les méandres de «Mange, Prie, Aime» ou en original «Eat, Pray, Love» (voir la bande-annonce : ici ). Évidemment il y a le dépaysement mais c'est surtout pour le message qu'il véhicule, ou les messages ... ?!

 

     Notre petit Mouton Noir ne peut pas dire qu'il visionne le film régulièrement, plutôt occasionnellement à dire vrai. En fait, en y réfléchissant bien, quand le disque est placé dans le lecteur Blu-ray, c'est parce qu'il a répondu à un besoin de son moi intérieur. Et à chaque fois, il constate que l'histoire résonne différemment avec son âme, tout simplement parce qu'elle correspond à une phase différente de sa vie et plus particulièrement parce que le corps, l'esprit, la conscience ou appelez comme vous le voulez le «truc» intérieur responsable est pas mal intelligent - oui oui !! - et c'est l'une des façon qu'il choisit occasionnellement pour que notre petit Mouton Noir prenne un coup dans la face et se réveille.

 

 

     C'est pour ça que l'histoire résonne à chaque fois un peu autrement - évidemment le fond va rester le même, ce n'est pas comme si à chaque visionnement c'est une autre histoire, allons, voyons!

     C'est un récit qui parlera à tout mouton noir sur la planète Terre et après, selon l'ouverture d'esprit de chacun, il pourra y avoir une résonnance quelconque ou pas du tout.

     Pour notre adorable petit Mouton Noir, il ne s'agit pas de trouver sa spiritualité mais plutôt de se retrouver soi-même et ça, quand il a passé de nombreuses années à vivre pour d'autres, selon les directives des autres ou à travers les yeux des autres, peut prendre un temps qui est plus ou moins long (selon les blessures accumulées par la vie).

 

     Le plus dur, soyons franc, est non seulement de s'écouter mais de s'entendre ! Quand on entend la musique qui résonne en soit, des choix vont s'offrir à nous. Est-ce qu'on va faire les changement nécessaires et requis ? Est-ce qu'on va soigner les blessures et pour cela chercher et trouver les méthodes adéquates ? Ou bien, est-ce qu'on va refuser d'entendre la musique jouer et l'ignorer ? Bien souvent c'est cette dernière voie qui est choisie parce que, soyons un peu honnête, tout changement fait peur !

     Les blessures qui sont bien installées au fond de nous, qui ont pris leurs habitudes et qui ont même réussi à nous convaincre qu'on est mieux avec elles que sans, ces blessures flairent le vent du changement et ces saloperies - pardonnez-moi ce mot - vont tout faire, vont se battre pour rester évidemment en place.

 

     Qu'est-ce qui se passe alors ? C'est simple, on fait face à une guerre d'usure qui peut durer ... ouf, difficile à dire, ou qui peut prendre fin rapidement. Visualisez sur une épaule de notre Mouton Noir un microscopique mouton noir vêtu d'une toge blanche qui lui murmure d'aller vers le changement pour parvenir à ses fins, que tout ira bien, qu'il est capable, qu'au bout du chemin la satisfaction et le bonheur l'attendent. Alors que sur l'autre épaule, siège un autre microscopique mouton rouge (pourquoi pas avec cornes et fourches ?!), qui susurrera à l'oreille de notre mignon petit Mouton Noir que le changement implique de trop grands risques, des pertes, que ça le mènera à sa perte, n'est-il donc pas bien ainsi ? C'est une vision qui vous fait sourire, vous avez tord de le prendre à la légère parce que chaque jour, sur cette planète, un mouton noir (ou quelqu'un) fait face à ce conflit.

 

     Pour pouvoir avoir une structure solide, il faut parfois défoncer les fondations surtout quand elles sont trop abimées par ces fameuses blessures. Il faut reconstruire et cette fois rester sur le bon chemin, un chemin qui ne sera pas toujours facile mais qui mènera indéniablement au bonheur. Un état qui n'est pas évident à connaitre et à garder pour beaucoup, peut-être parce que notre Mouton Noir s'est tellement effacé pendant des années, les blessures ont été en nombre supérieur, les dégâts sont profonds.

 

     Il y a malgré tout la volonté de mieux faire cette fois, d'être vraiment à l'écoute de tout, sauf que ça n'est pas possible, c'est pour cela qu'il y a des ajouts qui se font par la suite. Voyez-les comme des mises-à-jour!  Mais à dire vrai, c'est parce que le plus dur est cette fichue confiance en soi. Combien de fois a-t-on lu et entendu qu'il faut d'abord s'aimer soi-même avant que les autres ne nous aime ? C'est un concept que notre charmant Mouton Noir n'aime pas - pas parce que c'est vrai, mais parce que c'est en partie vrai. Pour se reconstruire, il est impératif de recevoir sous une forme ou une autre, l'amour des autres (ou de certains autres) mais pas un amour sparadrap (donc temporaire), il doit être sincère pour être efficace. C'est ce qui va permettre à ces fondations d'être plus solides mais cette forme d'amour n'est pas toujours là ou en dose suffisante.

    

     Nos convictions personnelles peuvent être très fortes et nous mener très loin, malheureusement elles vont aussi nous protéger à un point tel où rien ne pourra plus filtrer parce qu'il est impératif d'éviter toute nouvelle blessure. L'armure de protection qui s'est mise en place avec les années peut avoir une épaisseur incroyable parce qu'il faut garder en phase de survie l'être qui habite le corps. C'est toujours à nous de faire le travail du changement mais, comme pour tout chantier, une supervision est requise. Ici, il s'agit de la chaleur, de l'amour d'un entourage, vrai, entier et sincère.

 

     Se relever est loin d'être aussi facile que ça ! Savoir et admettre que la vie va nous écorcher encore plus d'une fois et qu'on va malgré tout s'en remettre et continuer plus radicalement qu'avant, est une chose, mais en être profondément convaincue ... en est une autre.

 

     Il va s'en dire que c'est le microscopique mouton noir en toge blanche qu'il faut toujours écouter et suivre. Garder à l'esprit, coûte que coûte, qu'on sait au fond de nous ce qui convient de faire et d'être ainsi que là où l'on doit être. Tout revient à prendre un risque mais pour que ça fonctionne, ce risque ne peut être mesuré ou calculé. Il faut se lancer avec comme seul guide, notre profonde conviction sincère qu'on mérite tout ce bonheur, cette satisfaction !!

 

     Rien est facile, notre Mouton Noir ne prétendra pas le contraire - certainement pas - mais que ce soit une vie entière ou des pans de vie à passer à ignorer le vent du changement par peur et à s'efforcer de se complaire dans l'accoutumance des blessures passées, aucune vie n'est vécue ! Sur l'épitaphe final seront gravés ces mots : Aura finit par aimer ses regrets plus que la vie elle-même.

     Notre admirable petit Mouton Noir n'a définitivement pas choisi cette voie-là, et si la lutte est constante, il est «Noir» parce qu'il a refusé un jour de continuer à accepter les regrets comme une normalité. Le prix de la liberté est élevé mais ça en vaut la peine ! Toujours !!

Microbrasserie «Les 3 Brasseurs»

Bonjour à tous!

     Se faire du bien sur notre extérieur c'est très bien, mais se faire également du bien à l'intérieur ... ça aide pas mal aussi.

 

     J'aime beaucoup ce restaurant ou microbrasserie qui existe depuis 1986 (historique les 3 Brasseurs ) avec son tout premier établissement dans le Nord de la France. Aujourd'hui, il est très bien représenté dans tout l'hexagone, ainsi qu'au Brésil, en Outre-Mer et au Canada (Ontario) et évidemment au Québec (essentiellement à Montréal). Je vous laisse le loisir de mettre vos connaissances à jour quant à la volonté de création qui se cache derrière Les 3 Brasseurs, parlons plutôt du reste !

     La volonté est de permettre à la clientèle de savourer des mets d'origine française avec selon moi, un kick, plus ou moins grand, nord-américain.

 

     La décoration et l'ambiance y sont toujours digne d'une brasserie (ou ici microbrasserie), avec l'ameublement en bois sombre, l'éclairage et - modernité oblige - les écrans plats mais qui viennent apporter une touche dynamique pour la musique d'ambiance ou les soirs de matchs !! Que ce soit de jour (plus tranquille) ou de soir (toujours bondé), Les 3 Brasseurs permettent de passer un moment des plus agréable, décontracté et léger avec un personnel toujours sympathique et aidant !

 

     Il y a une vaste gamme de choix de bières avec des variantes selon les saisons de l'année, intéressant quand on veut essayer autre chose.

     N'étant absolument pas une fan de bières (je sais ... impensable quand on sait que je viens d'une région qui produit de la bière - notamment!), donc je fais à l'occasion des efforts mais comme ma priorité est de trouver quelque chose avec peu ou pas d'amertume (je sais ... c'est ÇA la bière!) j'ai trouvé ailleurs mon bonheur.

Couper la boisson avec d'autres, vous direz que c'est pour les enfants ?!? Vous avez peut-être raison mais c'est encore la seule façon pour que je puisse un tant soit peu aimer ce que je bois avec de la bière. J'ai essayé «La Blanche-Sortilèges» = une bière blanche avec whisky et sirop d'érable (ça fait bien québécois en même temps!!) mais pour le moment, je préfère de loin «La Tiqi du Quartier» = une bière blonde avec de la crème de cassis et du sprite. Hum... un délice pour MES papilles. Il y a encore bien d'autres possibilités qui ne demandent qu'à être essayé, il n'y a plus qu'à y aller !

 

     Quant au menu gastronomique - si je peux m'exprimer ainsi - il est très impressionnant (Menu ) et offre toutes sortes de régales.

     Mon préféré depuis longtemps - qui malheureusement n'est plus offert depuis quelques petites semaines - est «Le Bruno Burger» = un filet de poulet mariné, grillé avec pesto, chèvre et tomates. Rien que d'y penser j'en bave ... POURQUOI avoir arrêter de le proposer ???? Ce qui faisait tout le charme de cet ensemble était justement le mélange du pesto et du chèvre qui venait rehausser le filet de poulet qui est admirablement tendre et juteux (qui - en passant - est un vrai filet, rien de préfabriqué en usine!). Oh ... quel dommage! N'est-il pas possible de le remettre ?! s'il vous plait ??? :)

     Une autre possibilité très intéressante pour le mélange des saveurs encore une fois, « Le Sandwich Euro» = un filet de poulet grillé, des courgettes grillées, du fromage Brie et une salsa aux canneberges. Ah ... je dois dire qu'il sait émoustiller les papilles (mais un peu moins que le précédent).

 

     Ce qui fait, maintenant, LA SPÉCIALITÉ offerte dans ces microbrasseries, sont les Flammekueches. Beaucoup auront déjà un mal fou à le dire, alors que d'autres connaissent bien mais reste à savoir à quel point vous connaissez cette sublime spécialité Alsacienne (de France).

     Tout d'abord, un peu d'explication, c'est fait d'une pâte à pain très fine, recouverte d'une fine couche de fromage blanc (ou bibeleskäs) ou de crème épaisse et cuite rapidement dans un four à feu de bois. Maintenant la garniture (parce qu'avant ce n'est que la base, la toile de fond), vous avez le choix entre la traditionnelle qui propose juste lardons et oignons (crus et coupés finement), puis vous avez la gratinée avec la même base mais du gruyère râpé par dessus (et non, ce n'est pas immergé sous le fromage!), ensuite on a la forestière qui elle, va proposer des oignons et des champignons. Et tout ça représente uniquement l'ultime base de La Flammekueches (en alsacien) ou en français - La Tarte Flambée plus facile à retenir ainsi !! (voir Wikipédia pour tout savoir)

 

Et maintenant, ce sont MES reproches que je

fournis aux 3 Brasseurs quant à cette spécialité.

 

     L'établissement s'enorgueillit de vous offrir ce met incroyable  tel qu'il est élaboré dans son berceau d'origine. En dehors du fait qu'on propose une végétarienne remplie de légumes, une autre avec du steak épicé et jalapenos,  ou encore d'autres avec saucisses italiennes ou viande fumé ou pepperoni .... Celle qui se rapproche le plus de la VRAIE, de l'ORIGINALE est en fait un mixte entre la Traditionnelle, la Gratinée et la Forestière, soit «La Spéciale Brasseur» = on y trouve oignons, lardons, champignons avec du fromage gruyère râpé.

 

     Je ne peux m'empêcher de crier au scandale ! J'ai grandi en Alsace ... alors mes petits cocos des 3 Brasseurs, vous avez un sacré culot de prétendre offrir un produit qui n'a quasiment plus rien en commun avec l'original. Vous n'avez pas envie de le faire découvrir tel qu'il est ?! Il y a suffisamment d'européens et d'alsaciens expatriés sur la planète pour la choisir sur le menu et la faire partager à leur entourage pour qui, cette spécialité est complètement inconnue au bataillon !!! D'autant, que La Tarte Flambée (restons dans l'utilisation de son nom français) ne peut être trouvée nulle part à Montréal (dans le cas contraire, merci de me le faire savoir). Dans le genre zéro concurrence pour un met typique, succulent et véritable ... c'est comme ça qu'on fait découvrir de nouveaux plats et non en les dénaturant, personne ne sait à quoi ressemble la vraie, on en reste toujours au point de départ. C'est lamentable !

     Actuellement, et je suis navrée de vous le dire, mais ce n'est qu'une simple et vulgaire pizza sur croûte super mince que vous proposez, rien d'autre (qu'importe la garniture !!). Sur la photo du menu, «La Spéciale Brasseur» est absolument surchargée en lardons, encore une fois, on est à des années lumière avec la vraie.

     Est-ce que les autres alsaciens expatriés s'en fichent donc à ce point que leur met soit dénaturé à ce point ?! Suis-je donc la seule à vous faire la morale ?! Ouah ...

 

     Mais comme je ne souhaite pas finir sur cette note (qui est pourtant importante), Les 3 Brasseurs est devenu un endroit où passer un bon moment seul ou entre amis, afin de déguster un panel impressionnant de bières et des plats très savoureux. Il n'y a que quelques améliorations à apporter pour que cet établissement soit parfait ! ; )

What more beautiful feeling can we get in life?!

     Everyone is looking for it - even those who cannot admit the truth and spit out on it - yes, absolutely everyone. But what kind of love are we talking about?
 

The cute, sweet little one?

The delicate, not too close one?

The give-me-a-hug-and-i'm-ok one?

The i-love-you-if-you've-got-some-money one? etc.

 

     There are many possible «love» out there but let's keep our focus today on the ONE, you know when you say/think/feel that it's the real one! TRUE LOVE.

Does it still exist? Oh yeah baby ... but it's kind of getting pretty much difficult or even impossible to catch it ... or some of us think so!!

 

     What inspired teens or people's general behaviour nowadays: movies and TV shows. They try or wish to copy somehow the  life of their favorite characters. Unfortunately in this world of illusion, real love is not welcome. It's constantly difficulties after difficulties, drama after drama ... i get it on screen and television, it might quickly become boring so it's necessary to spice it up a little bit but ...
 

     Ask anyone on the street what is their favorite love and/or romantic story in movies ... come on, ask!! People are raving and pouring out for «West Side Story», «The Note Book», «Moulin Rouge» from Baz Luhrmann, «Gone with the Wind», «Ghost», «Romeo + Juliet» from Baz Luhrmann, «Titanic», «A Walk to Remember», «P.S I Love You», «Out of Africa», «The English Patient», «The Bridge's of Madison County», «Cold Mountain» etc. What do they all have in common? They all end up badly for the lovers.

    
     Don't get me wrong, i like and even love a few of those named, because behind the sadness of losing your loved one is the hope for another one someday, or because the whole cast and costumes and songs make the movie magical (that's gonna be for «Moulin Rouge»!).
     On the other hand, i don't like that the studios spreading the message on a screen that «True Love» or «Soul Mate» doesn't exist or doesn't last, so forget about it. This is what you look for: separation, accident, death, family's traditions ... something will come up at some point and your soul mate will be gone forever!! So why wasting your time at catching smoke? why not grabing anything close enough from Love and from what a soul mate could be for you, and keep it?! It's better than nothing at all!!!!

 

SERIOUSLY !?!?!?!

 

     Is this the message they're sending to people and especially to the young ones, no wonder why it's so fucked up when it comes to love.

 

     Then people are gonna say that the sadness makes it so beautiful! I'm sorry ... what?! But since when it's beautiful and hopeful to watch two people falling in love and then being tragically separated?! Anyone who says so should seriously consider going on therapy! Is it too girly to think and want that there'll be a happy ending?! Absolutely not ... ! We need to watch some happiness on screen, some real love, true love, soul mate. Life is already hard and difficult as it is ....., do we have to stay in that same spirit?!

     You can say whatever you want but at the end of the day, we are influenced by what we watch. Don't you dare telling me that it's a good think to tell everyone that Real Love doesn't exist, or if it is, it won't last and worst, that Love should be painful, hurtful, that you should be heartbroken.
 

Are you crazy?!

 

     If this is what you think, you really need to go to rehab, i'm sure some kind of treatment exist for that kind of silliness. Why do people always gonna pick up first the drama ones as their favorite? Is it because they don't have any drama in their life ; how exciting it will be!?!

 

     Now, i might be the only one - once again!!! - on this planet being maybe too romantic but what do you think i wanna chose between Action movies where blood and death are everywhere, Horror movies where ... well it's almost the same thing but more gross, Drama movies where it's almost like watching the news or Romantic movies where love can't last without tears, death and god knows what more but no happy ending?!?!

     Of course, there's a difference between a love that doesn't last because people weren't meant to be together and being meant for each other but can't stay in such a happiness. Of course, we can find sometimes happy endings, thank god, but still, it's never gonna be people's favorite stories. Hum ...?

    

     Can i have something perhaps light or superficial (according to some of you) but something that will give me some hope in life, hope in the human race?! If people find their happiness in sadness and drama, maybe it's time to worry a little bit more, don't you think?!

Let's talk a little bit about cell phones.

 

     I'm pretty sure at least half of the planet Earth, is using an iPhone and the other half is sharing the smartphones and android range.

Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against the Apple one - i can hear already the fans of the fruit screaming and fulminating ... calm down, take a deep breath ... deeper, that's better! So, i was saying that pretty much nowadays, on Earth, all cell phones are smart. The difference lies in between a single parent which having a lot of little apples babies, and the other ones from various companies/ parents, and of course one of them has got a bigger budget!

 

     I'm not here, today, trying to say which one is better ... there's one for everyone of us, that's why we have the choice.

 

     I'd rather stay focus on what i can get in stores - and elsewhere - to give to my sweet little Android. To put him some clothes or earrings .... Like the famous Barbie, once you've got the doll, you have to get her dress, give her a house, a car, a man etc... Same thing with a smartphone.

     So why not talk about the case for instance! Oh what a perfect exemple. So many colorful cases, funny ones ... oh but, wait a minute ... that's only true if you've got an iPhone because if your sweet little baby is from a company what will you find?! Crap stuff ... you have the choice between pink polka-dots, plain or the «Hello Kitty» ones ... ! wouah ... that's so much stuff ... so hard to make a decision!!!! Hum ... let me think.

 

Seriously?

 

     If the password is Apple, it's Alibaba's time baby. You can always find anywhere some iPhone's cases, anywhere, even at some random gas station. But if not, then it's Mars! I'm sure you'll be much more lucky to find some aliens at the grocery store.

 

     Now, some will say: «Then, sh&%$ up and go buy yourself a little apple so you'll find your happyness!».

The thing is, like the other half of the planet, i like my android (i even went on vacation with him!!), i don't wanna change for a fruity one. The problem lies in the lack of choice. We are submerged by the fruit, everywhere, that way, if you wanna something fun and different, you have to go with an iPhone.

 

     I refuse to live according to some others desire. We - as a consumer society - have the supreme right to decide (to choose) what to eat, read, drink, watch, wear and think. If i wanna buy a specific item and i wanna give him gifts, i should be able to find whatever i want, at least, almost anywhere i want.

     When it's been said that we do have the choice to buy, somehow it's true, but it's only smoke. You think you can do whatever you want but you can't.

 

     Look, with a simple item - a case for an android - (because everyone has one now) you don't own the last word. You're influenced, controlled, pushed into one direction:

 

«You're free to do as you wish, as long as you do what i say!»

 

     This thought is going kind of far now ... i just wanted to mentioned, friendly, that would be very nice to consider the other half of the planet and give them the same choice or products. I wanna buy an amazing and original case but i refuse to pick one «Hello Kitty», i'm not a teen. I seriously prefer finding a «Minion» case inspired by Despicable Me (the animated), that would be so much fun.

Is that too much to ask?!

L'Amour après 35 ans !

Qu'en est-il de l'Amour et de la durée d'un couple de nos jours ?

 

     Avez-vous remarqué, depuis un certain temps maintenant, le cinéma nous dépeint bon nombre de situations où l'amour reste tout un défi pour les plus de 35 ans. Écorchés par un amour mal placé (beaucoup trop jeune), le monde a continué à avancer à sa façon, et aujourd'hui, combien d'hommes et de femmes divorcés (le problème sera le même pour un veuf ou une veuve) essaient de se trouver après souvent un réveil brutal, et plus encore, trouver cette fois l'amour, le vrai.

     Ils ont été blessés, désillusionnés, ils n'ont plus 20 ans, et qui plus est, ils vivent (moi aussi !!) dans un monde où les relations ne s'établissent plus comme auparavant. Les repères n'existent plus.   Pourtant, la volonté de ne pas vouloir rester seul est peut-être plus forte que jamais.

    

     Évidemment, c'est quelque chose qui n'atteindra que peu tout ces jeunes (l'époque où tous les films ne montrant que des jeunes faisant face à  l'amour pour la première fois et à ses difficultés est pas mal révolue).

     Est-ce que la cible est mal choisie, après tout, ce sont essentiellement les jeunes qui ont le temps d'aller au cinéma. Je crois qu'il n'en est rien. Il est entendu que les films actuels sont dirigés vers les générations de plus de 35 ans pour la simple et bonne raison, que ce sont elles qui écopent des mauvaises décisions, d'une éducation reposant sur des valeurs passées qui ne peuvent continuer à trouver preneur dans nos sociétés où la mentalité a enfin fait un saut en avant. Et surtout parce que ce sont eux qui sont touchés !

 

     Ces films s'adressent pourtant tout autant aux jeunes. Je pense qu'il s'agit de leur envoyer un message dans lequel on leur demande de ne pas aller trop vite en s'engageant avec quelqu'un, de ne pas avoir d'enfants trop tôt (malheureusement, il y a une nouvelle mode, en tout cas en Amérique du Nord, qui veut que les adolescentes qui s'envoient toutes en l'air afin d'établir des records et tombent enceinte, gardent leur enfant ... croyant peut-être que leur vie sera comme ... ben je sais même pas comme quoi mais en tout cas, rien qui ne soit idyllique ?!!). On espère que de façon indirect, à travers ces histoires que le cinéma racontent - et c'est un phénomène que Hollywood n'est pas le seul à traiter - cette jeune et inexpérimentée vingtaine saura tirer les leçons des autres.

 

     Dans toute relation, il faut par moment mettre de l'eau dans son verre de vin mais pas non plus au point, que passé la trentaine, on admette qu'on en peut plus de cette fausse vie de couple où les sentiments d'amour ont pris la tangente depuis un bout. Le réveil fait mal, la blessure est réelle.

     Dans le passé, les valeurs voulaient que votre vie s'arrête après 35 ans si vous êtes seul (ou à nouveau seul) - enfin, il est vrai que je ne sais pas qui a toujours accordé un statut différent aux hommes ...

 

     Il est primordial de faire comprendre à ceux qui sont malheureux en couple et à ceux qui sont déjà seuls, que rien ne s'arrête. Bien au contraire, une étape, une page est tournée de votre vie, les leçons sont à en tirer afin de pouvoir reprendre sa route et cette fois, mieux savoir ce qu'on veut d'une relation amoureuse, parce que soyons honnête un instant, même les hommes veulent avoir une relation qui compte, plutôt que de régner dans le sexe avec un partenaire vingt ans plus jeune. Enfin, une poignée est comme ça mais la majorité, je peux vous garantir n'agit qu'en façade, que temporairement, une espèce de sorte d'opposé exagéré. N'oubliez pas que l'homme, le mâle, semble ne pas avoir le droit de montrer ses sentiments, ses émotions !!!

 

     Donc, avec tous ces plus de 35 ans célibataires sur le marché, il est comme je l'ai dit, important de démontrer qu'il n'est pas trop tard, quel que soit l'âge. Ça ne sera pas facile, définitivement pas. Il faudra passer à travers plus de stupidité qu'avant, apprendre de nouvelles règles du jeu mais ça en vaudra la peine.

     Ce qui compte est de prendre conscience - à temps - qu'il faudra saisir l'occasion qui se présentera et quand, à vingt ans on aura été méticuleux à choisir sa poupée Barbie ou son Ken, après 35 ans, on prendra soin de choisir quelqu'un qui a les pieds au sur terre, qui a vécu et qui a également sa propre blessure de guerre. Quelque part, on n'a un peu moins de temps à perdre !

 

     Qu'on le souhaite ou pas, mieux vaut être un peu seul pour mieux trouver l'amour que de rester avec quelqu'un qui ne vous correspond pas (ou plus) et gâcher ainsi deux vies ! ... ou quatre dans la mesure où celui et celle qui devrait être en réalité avec votre partenaire et avec vous, est à son tour pris dans une fausse relation.

 

Prenez les commandes de votre vie amoureuse, et quelque part de votre vie. Acceptez de prendre le risque d'être seul si nécessaire, mais surtout, n'oubliez pas que vous n'êtes pas tout seul dans cette situation ... vraiment pas tout seul !
