To all lovers of teas and herbals around the world ... but more in Canada and the United-States, i'm coming back with some new teas and herbals offered by the David's Tea (stores or online).
This is what i got at home.
I'm gonna tell you what's inside the blends that i have and what i think about it. You'll decide if you wanna give it a try or not!!!
  • Currant Affair: a mix of Roobois with sweet Blackberry leaves and black currant. It's a very nice tea to drink maybe more on colder days but a really good one with a present taste of black currant but nothing to strong.  - Caffeine Free.
  • Super Ginger: a mix of green Roobois with Ginger, black Pepper, white Pepper, pink Peppercorns and Stevia. It'a light smell of ginger, a bit more present on the taste. Not a favorite but maybe mixing in some sparkling water or stuff like that can make it work ... or you'll like it just the way it is?! - Caffeine Free.
  • Cherry Snowcone: a mix of Hibiscus, Rose hip peel, Apple, Currant, Sugar crystals, Elderberry, Lemongrass, sour Cherries and acerola Cherries. To be honest, it smells just like a walk in a cherry orchard and the taste .... still the same feeling, perfect especially on Summer time. It's divine warm and even better cold! A must have!! Caffeine Free.
That's it for today.
You'll have some more coming up soon!! In between, try to make some good to your body and dring a very good quality of teas.

This is what i got at home.

  • Pink Lemonade: a mix of Roobois, Hibiscus, Mango, Lemon peel, Lemon myrtle, Lemongrass, Stevia and Cornflower petals. You won't believe how fresh it is cold with a surprising sparkling taste in the background of your mouth, love it! !!!! ATTENTION !!!! CONTAINS SULFITES - Caffeine Free.
  • Mango Fruit Punch: a mix of Pineapple, Mango, Orange peel and slices, Tangerine, Safflower, Marigold and Strawberry. A nice and simple smell and taste of punch of fruit with a background of mango, nothing is too much here. - Caffeine Free.
  • Licorice Twist: a mix of Licorice root, Nana mint, Fennel seeds, Anise seeds, Cocoa, candied Pineapple, Ginger, Peppermint, Nettle leaf, Chili, bruised Pepper, Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon, Safflower blossom and Marigold blossoms. First thing 1st, i LOVE licorice that's why i was kind of exciting to get this one, unfortunately, the result is so far away from it that it's a complete disappointment for me. I think that it because of all of the different spices - yes that's the twist!! - added that licorice get lost! It's a real pass for me but maybe you'll love it?! - Caffeine Free.
That's it for today.
You'll have some more coming up soon!! In between, try to make some good to your body and dring a very good quality of teas.

  • Orange Blossom: a Roobois with Orange peels, Orange blossoms, Currants, Vanilla pieces, Marigold blossoms and Safflower petals. It's nice and light when it's warm but cold ... it's a keeper to refresh yourself with a subtle lemony taste!  - Caffeine Free.
  • Watermelon Mint: a mix of Apples, Honeydew melon, Peppermint, Carrot, Watermelon, Beetroot and Wild Strawberry leaves. The mint is what you smell at first, then warm, you recognize the honeydew melon. It's pleasant warm but it's definitely a keeper cold for the summer! - Caffeine Free.
  • Queen of Tarts (Organic): a mix of Hibiscus, Marigold, Stevia, Guayusa (from Ecuador) and natural fruit and berry flavouring. I rephrase: 'it's a super-energizing burst', so if you need to stay awake, this is another option for you with a nice tart taste (when it's warm). Cold, it'll be even better because the sourish taste is gone!! Stimulant.
That's it for today.

A Cup of David's Tea?! (part 20)

To all lovers of teas and herbals around the world ... but more in Canada and the United-States, i'm coming back with some new teas and herbals offered by the David's Tea (stores or online).
This is what i got at home.

  • Hot Tropic: a mix of Apple, Mango, Raisins, Cinnamon, Coconut chips, Star Anise and Vanilla. O.M.G ... it smells and taste just like pina colada!!! If you want, add some alcool and you'll turn this herbal into a perfect and light calories cocktail and if not, well you won't feel guilty. Now pay attention, this is a new one in stores, so run and try it, i'm sure you gonna fall in love just like me. Warm it's nice to drink but its strength will be cold - !!!! ATTENTION !!!! CONTAINS COCONUT - Caffeine Free.
  • Earl Grey: a Black tea with Cornflower petals and bergamot oil. I do like bergamot (if haven't noticed yet!) and the Earl Grey from your groceries is a nice choice when i wanna reach for a classic tea ... unfortunately, this one doesn't taste good at all!! What a disappointment for me but maybe you'll love it?!?! - Medium Caffeine.
  • Countess of Seville (Organic): a Green Tea (Zhejing Province, China) with Orange peel, Cornflowers as well as orange and bergamot oils. This green one is light inside your mouth and nice-tasting as long as the water temperature is around 170F (76C) otherwise it becomes a bit bitter ... not pleasant! If you want a Green Tea without noticeable flavours ... you'll like this one. Medium Caffeine.
That's it for today.
You'll have some more coming up soon!! In between, try to make some good to your body and dring a very good quality of teas.

  • The Earl's Garden: a Black Ceylon tea with Strawberries, blue Cornflowers, Calendula petals as well as natural and artificial Bergamot and Strawberry flavouring. It smells nicely the bergamot (which i love) plus something else and the taste is not bad! It's not exactly the earl grey but you definitely gonna need to add a bit of milk and sugar to get a better taste. Not a favorite ... may be yours?! - Medium Caffeine.
  • Sangria: a mix of Apples, Licorice root, Hibiscus, sweet Blackberry leaves, Orange, Strawberry and Raspberry. To be honest, it smells just like sangria, it is absolutely amazing!! and the taste as fantastic, plus it will parfume the room, they really did an incredible job with this herbal. So, you wanna drink a sangria with no alcool ... say hello to your new BFF!!! And for the summer time, cold, it will be just perfect, i love it!! Caffeine Free.

  • Shooting Starfruit: a White tea with a mix of Apples, Mango, Papaya, Star fruit and Jackfruit. To be honest, it smells quite weird - fruity by weird, does it should stopped you to drink it? • Big Apple: a mix of White tea (Mao Feng) and Green tea (Wu Lu and Guangxi) blend with Apples. It smells really really applely just like an apple pie but unfortunately, i pretty much hate the taste. Maybe you'll have more chance?!  - Medium Caffeine.
  • Coco-Lemon Thai: a White tea with a mix of Ginger, Coconut, Lemon myrtle, Lemongrass and Sunflowers. I'm about to be very redundant with the previous one (above) although it smells just like a lemon yogurt but i hate the taste of it. Maybe you'll have more chance?! ATTENTION - CONTAINS COCONUT - Low Caffeine.

  • Lime Gelato: a Sencha green tea with a mix of Pineapple, Apple, Lemongrass and artificial lime yogurt flavouring. It definitely smells like a lime gelato in the bag but it tastes more warm apples from the oven ... interesting but not a big hit for me. - Low Caffeine.
  • Chaï on Life: a White tea and Green tea blend with a mix of Cinnamon, Lemongrass, Cardamon, Cloves, Pineapple, Ginger black pepper, Coconut chips and pink Peppercorn. It's a spicy black pepper smells ... big time and you kind of taste it too as well. Not one of my favorite. ATTENTION - CONTAINS COCONUT  - Low Caffeine.
  • Blue Lagoon: a mix of Pineapple, Blueberry, Elderberry, Lemongrass and Cornflower petals. A taste quite interesting or surprising (depending) when it's cold because a liquorice note is coming out to burst into  your mouth even if there isn't inside. Will be exciting with iced on summer time. Be careful, it's a limited edition!! ATTENTION - CONTAINS SULFITES Caffeine Free.

  • Bamboozled: a mix of Pineapple, Bamboo leaves, Peach, Apple, Peach crunchy, Peony petals and Rose buds. A very light herbal, testing a not too sweet pineapple cake ... nice. - Caffeine Free.
  • Buddha's blend: a White tea with a mix of Green tea, Jasmine pearls and white Hibiscus blossoms. This is what i got at home.

  • Goji Pop: a mix of Apple, Goji berries, Hibiscus, Rosehips, Honeydew melon and Marigold petals. It's supposed to be a super helper for your heath and body ... but the smell is not so friendly, you'll said «whatever» but the taste is pretty much as pleasant as the smell is :( and that, for me is, a big regret. It's not a favorite of mine. - Caffeine Free.
  • Redberry tonic: a mix of Apple, Rosehip, Hibiscus, Lemongrass, sea Buckthorn and Goji berries. You open the bag and the first thing you sniffle : a mix of lemon/almond/apple. The outcome : a delightful, sweet and light herbal. Warm, it's wonderful but cold, it'll be perfect! I love it.  - Caffeine Free.
  • Birthday Cake: a red and green Roobois with Honeybush, freeze-dried ice cream bits and sprinkles. You may thing you'll find a birthday cake inside the bag (of course not!) and quite surprisingly the taste reminds me a cup of decaf! It's a nice blend. CONTAINS MILK / SOY / EGGS Caffeine Free.

  • Jessie's Tea: a Roobois tea with a mix of Honeybush, Coconut bits, Lavender and blue Cornflowers. It's funny, because when you smell the blend, it's like there's some chocolate lost inside (but there isn't!) you don't know if you gonna like it. Let me tell you that this tea is worth the try before adopting it definitely! It gives you a light taste of a sweet freshness with a pinch of lavender. It's a really nice surprise! CONTAINS COCONUTCaffeine Free.
  • New Delhi Delight: a mix of Coriander seeds, Fennel seeds and Cumin seeds. Three simple ingredients but a perfect combination to help you with a heavy meal. It's smell a little bit the cumin but the taste inside the mouth is very light, nothing to disturbe. Very useful ... unfortunately i must warn you that this blend is only availabe online (with some luck in a few stores!) because it's about to be discontinued. Why am i still talking about it? I think it's a shame to lose this one and for those who might be interesting to help your body thanks to mother nature, it's time to put your hand on it; you'll have a 40% discount applied at checkout on 250g but it's absolutely worth it!!Caffeine Free.
  • Mulberry Magic: an herbal with a mix of Mulberry leafs and organic Macadamia nuts. The smell in the jar is kind of sweet but like ... like a sweet caress (if it makes sense?!) and you keep it when you taste it in your mouth. This herbal is mostely useful for your body in many ways thanks to all the different qualities it offers. So, not only good to drink, it's good for your body!  CONTAINS MACADAMIA NUTS - Caffeine Free.

  • Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait: a blend of Apple, Hibiscus, Carrot, Raisins, Yogurt bits, Beetroot, Strawberry and Rhubarb. First time i sniffled the mixture, i thought i was in a strawberry field ... exciting, unfortunately for me, the taste is a bit different. You lose the strawberry and you get more the yogurt taste ... i kind of hate that!! Maybe because it's hot, so drink it cold could be better ?! I don't know but i won't try, it's a skip for me :(
    CONTAINS MILK. - Caffeine Free.
  • Mango Lassi: a mix of Mango, Orange peel, Chamomile, Vanilla bean and Vanilla extract. You can smell the mango and slightly the chamomile too. Drink it and it'll be a pure delight warm and cold! A must have. - Caffeine Free.
  • Blueberry Jam (organic): an organic Black tea with a mix of Bluberries, Elderberries, pink Cornflower petals and Stevia.      I'm gonna tell you what's inside the blends that i have and what i think about it. You'll decide if you wanna give it a try or not!!!
  • La La Lemon (organic): some Black tea from China with Orange peel. When you smell it ... hum!!! it's pure zest of lemon in paradise ... unfortunately, when it's time to drink this blend, you almost don't taste or sniffle the lemon, and that's quite sad!! It's a pass for me.  - Medium Caffeine.
  • Peppermint Amour (organic): some organic Peppermint leaves from Oregon State. This is another heavenly one (for me!), you sniffle the pure joy of peppermint (imagine some candy canes you can drink), it tastes just like you expected (or more) ... there's probably nothing better to help a bad digestion ... perfect, a must have! - Caffeine Free.
  • Vanilla Orchid: a premium Oolong from China's Fujian province called Huang Jin Gui with some natural Vanilla flavouring. Oh my god ... i love so much this one ! It may not smell heaven (don't imagine the worst!) but the taste is. The sweetness of vanilla and something else that could be orchid (nothing sugary or too heavy) gives you a light and sweet indulgence to drink, to be clear it's to try and to adopt, always ! Medium Caffeine.

  • Coffee Pu'erh: Chinese cooked pu'erh tea with Coffee beans, chocolate, caramel and almond flavour. It smells like coffee, not too strong like the good smelling coffee beans can, but you get the undertone of the caramel/chocolate and almond flavour, which makes the whole thing just well. The taste is unfortunately just fine, nothing great and not a favorite - Medium Caffeine.
  • Green Seduction (organic): a mix of Green tea, Black tea, green Roobois with Rosehips and Pomegranate arils. This tea reminds me of an icing with some fruit alcohol, not that bad but the taste is not as promising, quite on the contrary actually, i'd rather skip it - Medium Caffeine.
  • Buttered Rum (organic): a Black tea with Vanilla beans, Coconut flakes, Cornflower petals. It doesn't smell anything in particular but the taste is quite different. You gonna taste a kind of buttery flavour, which if you enjoy butter might suit you quite well, unfortunately for me, not at all - i just can't stand the taste and the smell of butter. This tea is a hate for me (maybe it'll be different for you?!). CONTAINS COCONUT - Low Caffeine.

  • Spearmint (organic): pure Spearmint leaves coming directly from Oregon and Washington State - USA. How doesn't love a good warm or cold cup of spearmint?! It's a nice helper to digest. The smell of the dry leaves is exactly the same as the one from any spearmint gum .... nice memory!!  - Caffeine Free.
  • Sweet Strawberry: a white tea with a mix of Strawberries, Rosehips, Hibiscus, white silver Needles and Stevia. This tea smells so good the strawberries .... oh, so good! Drink it and you have a light tea with a sweet taste of those little red berries in your mouth. Delightful warm, cold it must be almost heaven, love it! - Medium Caffeine.
  • Sleigh Ride: an herbal with a mix of Apple, Hibiscus blossom, candied Pineapple, candied Papaya, Beetroot pieces, Cinnamon stick pieces, Raisins, Coconut, roasted Almonds and popped Rice. It takes this name to start to drool over this delicious smell ... but a bit too sweet in the mouth, so after 2-3 cups you ended up sick of it for good (maybe it'll be different for you?!). CONTAINS TREE NUTS + COCONUT - Caffeine Free.

  • Spiced Fig: an herbal tea with a mix of Apples, Cranberries, black mission Figs, Almonds, Rose hips, Dates, calymirna Figs, Cloves and natural vanilla flavoring. This limited edition for winter time, promises a lot but not delivers much! It barely tastes anything and it would be easier to do it yourself ... pass on this one!! CONTAINS ALMONDSCaffeine Free.
  • Alpine Punch: a roobois tea with a mix of Coconut chips and rasps, Apple pieces, Cinnamon pieces, Ginger bits, Cardamon, black Pepper, Rose blossoms, Almond flakes. This limited edition is another promissing one. When you sniffle this one, you're in love ... it's just like a sweet cinnamon bun fresh out of the oven ... right! Even if the smell is sugary sweet and ok, the taste is too much, not too much sugar, too sweet and after 2-3 cups you're just sick of it!!! Too bad but maybe it'll be different for you. CONTAINS TREE NUTS + COCONUTSCaffeine Free.
  • Salted Caramel: a black tea with a mix of Coconut, Caramel bits, English toffee bits, sea Salt. It takes this name to start to drool over this delicious smell ... but kind of once again, a bit too sweet in the mouth so after 2-3 cups you ended sick of it for good (maybe it'll be different for you?!) CONTAINS MILK + SOY + COCONUT + ALMONDMedium caffeine.
That's it for today.
You'll have some more coming up soon!! In between, try to make some good to your body and dring a very good quality of teas.
