FOTD - A splash of Joy!

Hello everyone!

     For the Face of the Day, i clearly wanted something more joyful - some would say more girly. It's a beautiful mix of colors that make green eyes pop or for blues too but frankly, it can work for any eyes color.

 

     I'm gonna use today only matte eyeshadows, still from this professional european brand Grimas (Grimas ) with a high level of pigmentation and it's easy to work with. 

     If you need one, apply an primer on your eyes - for me, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, then take a creamy-pink color n. 580 (A) and with a flat brush apply it on the entire eyelid (make sure that this color is not too much pink or white).

     Put a peachy color n. 891 (B) only in the outer half of the eye. With a dome shape brush, take a fuchsia color n. 573 (C) and do the cut crease (escape the inner portion of the crease), blend it well.

     Take a small dome brush and with a violet-purple color n. 574 (D) apply it gently just in the outer corner of the eye. Take your time to blend it with the peachy and fuchsia colors, so no harsh lines. If you think in the process you lost some of the creamy-pink color (A) under the arch of the brows, put some more.  You can dab a little bit of the same color in the tear dot area as well.

     Do a liner with a black waterproof liquid eyeliner - i used the Urban Decay black in Perversion, take your favorite waterproof mascara (or not!) - for me i'm trying the Covergirl Clump crusher in black/Brown (i put two coats). 

     For the face, Rimmel foundation Wake-me Up in true ivory 103, then put some concealer - for me the Maybelline NY Fit Me in 15 light - just to lighten the under eye area.

 

     Back to the brows, i put Hazel 002 a brow pencil from Rimmel and on the top of it a clear gel from Anastasia to fix for the day.

     Because the eyeshadows are all matte, i decided to put some shimmer on the cheeks. I used the Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in golden mosaic (E) and i mixed it with some Tarte amazonian clay blush in Tipsy (F). So the cheeks color will stay in an apricot-bronzy tone but not too much,  we don't want to distract from the eyes!

 

     For the lips stay quite as well, i applied first Buxom Big & Healthy lip stick in London - peachy/pink color - and on the top some of the Revlon lip butter in Cotton Candy 045 - a sheer slightly shimmery pink.
