FOTD - An Orange in the Woods!!

     For my make-up today, i wanted to do something different and to use the color orange. The result make me think at a sweet orange taking a walk in the woods ... so poetic!

     This time, i used mostly my matte eyeshadows from Grimas (Grimas - select eyeshadow rouge to get the product). You should know that all of the Grimas matte eyeshadows are very pigmented, so it's better if you take small amount of the color at first and then add more if needed. The key with matte shadows is to blend blend blend!!

 

     As always, i apply first my Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer all over my eyelid, then with a brush i place a thin layer of the Maybelline NY Color Tattoo 24hr in Too Cool 005 (E) and cover the eyelid. With a flat brush, you can pat all over the lid to the outer corner of the eye and blend well in the cut crease the matte orange shadow n.553 (A) from Grimas. Then, with a dome brush and a light hand, apply some matte kaki color  n. 488 (B) in the cut crease and blend well the two colors. Take a small brush to put a touch of the matte dark green n. 487 (C) in the very outer corner of the eye, blend but stay at the same place.

 

     If needed, you can add some orange is you lost it in the blending. Then, take a flat brush again, some matte white pink n. 580 (D) and place it on the inner half of the lid, make sure to blend the orange and the white pink together so you won't have any demarcation. Now apply a shimmery color to bring some highlight under the brows and the inner corner of the eye with Shimma Shimma (F) from MakeUpGeek (MUG).

 

     For my face today, i used the BB cream from Dr. Jart + in Black Label Detox. For the under eye area, i applied the Maybelline NY Fit Me concealer in light 15 to highlight and for spots on my face, Covergirl Olay the concealer stick in 320 fair/light.

 

To contour the face, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and the blush from Sephora long lasting blush in  Healthy Rose 09 (G) on the apple of the cheeks up.

     Apply a liner eye pencil in kaki with Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eye-pencil in Mildew. Continue and put some more on the lower waterline. Then, take Mango Tango (H) from MUG under the lower lash line, almost to the inner corner. Do the same thing with Appletini (I) from MUG again.

     Go on your brows and fill them in with Rimmel Professional brow pencil in Hazel 02, brush them out and finish by applying the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel on the top.

 

     Just to make sure that everything stays on, i slightly use my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Buff Beige 002 mostly on the T-zone area and under the eyes.

Don't forget the mascara on both top and bottom lashes with Maybelline NY The Rocket Volum' Express in something darker than black (just to be sure!!).

 

Almost done!

I chose a lipstick from Covergirl Lip Perfection in Romance 265 (kind of a old rose color). Finish with the All Nighter from Urban Decay make-up setting spray ... et voilà!!!!
